Coffee FAQs
Q: Which Krema coffee machine is right for my team?
It comes down to team size and how much drink variety you want. For smaller teams and executive spaces, the compact 340 Series delivers café-quality bean-to-cup without dominating the break room. For mid-size and larger offices, the 400 Series handles higher volume, and the 360 Series adds the widest drink range and dual-milk capability. For barista-style spaces, our manual machines give the full hands-on experience. You don't have to work it out alone — Krema recommends the right machine for your usage, then manages everything from there.
Q: What's the difference between the four coffee blends?
All four are Australian-roasted and ethically sourced, each with its own character. Clarity is bright and balanced, with caramel and dark chocolate notes. Essence is smooth and mellow with milk chocolate and hazelnut — ideal for easy everyday drinking. Synergy is an Italian-style roast with dark cocoa, almond and citrus. Intensity is bold and full-bodied with baker's chocolate and burnt toffee.
Clarity and Intensity are also Rainforest Alliance Certified, making them the top pick for teams with strict ESG requirements. Not sure which suits your team? We'll help you match a blend. → Explore the blends
Q: What drinks can the machines make?
Everything your team expects from a good café — espresso, latte, flat white, cappuccino, long black, piccolo, macchiato, Melbourne magic, mocha, chai and hot chocolate — all at the touch of a button. Depending on the machine, you get up to 30 beverage selections, and the fresh-milk models pour a proper barista-style finish. Dairy and plant-based milk are both supported; the 360 Series can even run two milks side by side.
Q: Is bean-to-cup coffee actually good, or is it like instant?
It's a world away from instant. Bean-to-cup machines grind fresh beans for every single cup, so you get genuine café-quality espresso on demand — consistent, aromatic and made fresh, not reconstituted. It's the same principle as a manual espresso machine, automated for reliability and ease, with no barista skills required.
Q: Do we have to reorder coffee, or does that get managed?
It's managed for you. Coffee supply is handled through KremaCare with smart tracking that replenishes your beans before you run low — so the machine never sits empty and no one on your team has to remember to reorder. Installation, servicing and support are included in the same arrangement. → See what KremaCare includes
Q: How does the rental model work?
Your machine, coffee supply, installation, servicing and support are packaged into one simple rental — no upfront cost to own or manage equipment. Most workplaces choose this because it's predictable and hands-off. For the full detail on how office coffee rental compares to buying, see our FAQ hub.
